"Rimzim Gire Sawan"

This was the mood that was set in on Sunday 27th July morning at Rtn. Keshav Kulkarni’s farmhouse at Yeoor Hills. The clouds were fully charged with thunderous rocking showers, the lush green environment was whispering “sulag sulag jaaye mann” in our minds rewinding us to our college days, trekking in the hills with “bheege aaj is mausam me” , raised the spirits and flared up our bellies to the extent to say “lagi kaisie ye agan!”

It started off with a mouth watering Misal-Paav and Batata Vadas for a breakfast. We flagged off our Tree Plantation drive by planting saplings of Gulmohar (Peacock flower - Delonix Regia Rafin) and Bahava(Indian Labernum - Cassia Fistula Linn) at the site. We shall now carry this Green drive at variuos other locations. We then left for a trek in the hills. Everyone was completely wet enjoying the showers and marching ahead. Kids were leading the parade. We returned after four hours with beauty of the nature embossed in our minds. Sumptuous lunch was waiting for us. It was raining cats and dogs, so everyone was out again to dance in the rains to the tune of Indian & Western music. Spirits were really high!!!

It was indeed a dream picnic for all of us. We expressed our sincere gratitude to Rtn. Keshav for nicely arranging the event by giving personal touch. He also got emotional and invited us again for yet another dream day. All good things come to an end. So we bid farewell and left for our mundane activities. Rain GOD was very kind enough to shower HIS blessings on us, throughout the day. It was very well attended by over 35 Rotarians, Anns and family members.
